I was dragging my feet because the weekend was approaching quickly and I had the tedious job of removing wallpaper from my kitchen walls. As you may already have had the experience of removing wallpaper - it's an ugly chore! I trailed out to the local Home Depot and discovered this handy little tool - Zinsser PaperTiger - simple to use scoring tool which perforates tiny holes through your wallpaper without damaging the drywall. Instead of renting the old time wallpaper steamer, I decided to go with Zinsser DIF - Wallpaper Gel Stripper. I actually scored up the wall using the PaperTiger, poured the DIF Gel remover into a clean paint tray and applied the DIF Gel with a clean paint roller roll the first coat on using a fair amount of pressure - creating the gel to force through the perferations.

The recommended wait time is 20 minutes I waited around 40 minutes and then reapplied again allowing the wallpaper to fully saturate - Then scrap away and the wallpaper along with the lining came trailing down. One big draw it's completely odorless! A few more gadgets to check out WalWorks Adhesive & Stripper Rollers - holds up to 3X more then ordinary rollers or brushes. Walworks applies the right amount with less work - better then brushes and paint rollers. Zinsser Paper Scraper - Unique, patented design which maintains a perfect scraping angle without damaging the walls. Keep in mind that custom wallpapers are making a leap right back - keep these tools in mind for future use!

Angie's philosophy is simple: take on projects that are affordable and easily achievable. Look for inspiration in magazines and make the projects your own. Hers are real projects for real people and they don't require you to have a background in art. Test
