Add a dash of color to your front entry or simply hang this colorful sign on your front door.  I found these pieces of wood at Home Depot for just under $2 - these are left over pieces that are left behind and I simply asked for them - worked out well, I did not have to buy a huge peice of 4X4 and Home Depot was able to get rid of their trash inventory.  I simply love color...basically everywhere and  with Rust-Oleum's Painter's Touch 2X in Aubergine I was able to add that mad dash of color to my front door!  I did have to seal the knots in the wood with Zinsser BIN Primer.  Sealing ensures that the knots will not bleed through the Aubergine.  Once dry I added two light coats of the Aubergine - which is also available at The Home Depot!   - For the round snowmen - I penciled them out using paperplates - added a few freeehand snowflakes with white paint - I always have Black & White in quarts - Painter's Touch Satin on hand.  To customize the name - I once again stenciled out the name and then using a pencil transferred it directly to the finished board.  I used a sharpie to outline and then filled in with the black paint.  Be sure to mix a bit of white and black to add to the rim of each snowman - this gives them each a bit of separation and add that carrot nose and warm eyes!  Customize as you wish! Add to "A" gromets to the top and a decorative ribbon to hang.  Check out the process below!
