A true treasure and a perfect find.  I grabbed this old barn loft door from an early spring yard sale up in Wisconsin and had the exact spot mapped out in my kitchen!  The door itself is deceiving because it's actually a very long piece and has plenty of writing space on the inside.  With Rust-Oleum's Specialty Chalkboard Paint I was able to turn this piece into a functioning aspect of our kitchen.  The best part of the chalkboard paint is that it's available in over 10 tintable colors to match basically any decor be it for an office or at home!   I use it for a quick grocery list, appointments for the day or daily fun reminders for the kids!

altI left the original coating on the frame and love the rustic grooves as well as wear and tear.  I barely used any of the chalkboard paint and have plenty to complete my next project!

Angie's philosophy is simple: take on projects that are affordable and easily achievable. Look for inspiration in magazines and make the projects your own. Hers are real projects for real people and they don't require you to have a background in art. Test
