So, I was browsing through one of my favorite magazines "HOME" - April 2007 issue - yes, you're probably thinking "April of 2007" - why would she hold onto that magazine so long?? Well, I keep most of them - fold in corners of the Next Great Idea article, slap a few stickers on the Decorating sections and rip out all of the Inspirational Projects that someday I will accomplish! I was flipping through and in the Decorating section I found "Exuberant Victorians" - It's giving new life to that old Victorian Chair or Sette or even just that old chair with good bones.

The article goes on to trigger your "color" pallette and add bold, vibrant colors to these classic chairs - this goes with my theme of Colors under my blog - boasting about the Vibrant colors on your walls as well as adding them on to pieces of furniture and accessories. HOME displays these refinished chairs in Purple Plum, Tequila Lime, Bold Blue and Red Tulip. At a fraction of the cost and tougher durability Rust-Oleum's Painter's Touch has such vivacious colors - Magenta, Key Lime, Caribbean Blue and Watermelon. The article gives a detailed "How we did It" section with options for upholstery, how to find the perfect piece to refinish as well as website postings. Be sure to dig around your Mom's attic for that perfect piece. I downloaded a picture of the article and you'll agree that these chairs add color and conversation to any room!
