Drop cloths or old sheets to protect nearby items

1 6x6 pine board

Paint brushes

Paint thinner (for cleaning your brushes)

1/4 -2x2 poplar scant cut in half

3 wooden discs (found at craft stores)

1 half pint Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss Black paint

6 x48 piece of polar fleece or flannel

1 nose cut out of wood (or buy something at a craft store)

1 quart Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss White paint

1 American Accents Glow Orange Craft & Hobby paint

Decorative holly trim for brim of hat

Set up your area using a drop cloth to cover nearby items and to protect them from spray mist

Paint 6x6 board white. You might need two coats.

About 1/2 down from the top of the board, paint with black for the hat. You'll probably need two coats here too.

Paint the scant with two coats of black.

Paint the three wooden buttons with two coats of black.

Cut out the carrot shape for the nose from wood and paint carrot glow orange.

Paint eyes and mouth onto the snowman using finger dots for smile.

With decorative small nails, nail on brim of hat and nose. Hot glue on the buttons and holly trim to brim of the hat.

Tie on fleece scarf and enjoy your new snowman.
