Wooden flowers (or other decorative object) - available at most craft stores
Drill or hammer and medium-sized nail
Project Steps
Spread the drop cloth in a large area outdoors. Remove the drawers and drawer knobs. Sand the dresser, knobs, and wooden flowers until smooth. Use a tack cloth to wipe away excess dust.
Apply an even coat of Painter's Touch Primer to each of the dresser components and wooden flowers. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for preparation, application, and drying time.
Apply an even coat of American Accents Blossom White to the dresser body and the drawer knobs.
While the dresser and knobs are drying, apply one coat of American Accents Sweet Pea paint to the drawer fronts. Apply a second coat, if necessary, within 1 hour or after 24 hours.
Spray an even coat of American Accents Green Apple onto the wooden flowers. Once dry, apply a second coat.
After the flowers have dried, drill a small hole into the center of each of them. If you don't have a drill, you can use a medium-sized nail to create the holes.
Place one of the flowers between the first knob and the dresser drawer and screw in. Repeat until each of the knobs have been replaced.
Spray on a light, even coat of Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Clear Gloss Protective Enamel on the dresser and the drawer fronts. Once dry, replace the drawers.
