Materials
Wood dining table with a smooth top
Sand paper
Tack cloth
Drop cloth
Masking tape
Newspaper or plastic bags
Screening or utility cloth
Project Steps
Move to a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist. (Grass grows, but patio furniture holds on to this kind of paint forever.)
Lightly sand the table and wipe clean with a tack cloth.
Paint the entire table with Canyon Black paint following the application directions on the can to ensure a perfect finish. Let dry.
Tape off the top of the table and cover the legs with newspaper or plastic wrap.
Lay your screening or utility cloth flat onto the tabletop. (Look for screening with squares at a local home center.)
Spray the Burnished Copper paint over the screening. The paint will seep under the screening to some extent. Use this to create your own design. For example, spray from one side so that all of the spray mist flows one way. Or spray from the top for limite
Once the table is dry, remove the tape and newspaper.
Use your favorite metal bowl as an accent and enjoy.
