Project Steps
Find a safe workspace outside that you can staple a drop cloth to (garage walls work well).
Hang the cloth so there are little or no ripples in the fabric.
Using a roller, prime the canvas with the primer, and allow to dry. Since the canvas soaks up a lot of paint, it may need to dry overnight. As the paint dries it will pull the canvas tighter and reduce most of the wrinkling of the fabric.
Once the paint is dry, remove the canvas from the wall. Make sure to remove all of the staples from the canvas. Re-staple the canvas to the wall with the primed side facing against the wall. Again, when stapling to the wall, try to have little or no rippl
With a level and a ruler, stencil your pattern with a pencil. The width of each color shown in the drop cloth is 8¾ to maximize the canvas width. The length of the color is 78. You may change the dimensions based on your preference, but make sure that you
Tape off and mask inside areas to protect from overspray. Spray the outside area with American Accents Green Apple. Re-apply for complete coverage, and allow to dry. Remove all masking from inside areas.

Tape off the areas painted with Green Apple and Aqua to protect from overspray. Spray exposed primed areas with American Accents Heirloom White. Re-apply for complete coverage, and allow to dry.
Use a level and a pencil to mark a line where you would fold the canvas over for a crisp edge plus 1/4.
Remove the canvas from the wall. Make sure to remove all of the staples from the canvas. Lay the canvas on the floor with the design side facing the floor.
Flip the canvas edges over and cut off any excess material so that you have approximately 1½ of canvas to fold to the underside.
Fold back the 1½ of canvas and secure with duct tape to all of the edges. Cut the corners so that you do not have multiple layers at the corners.
Flip over the canvas to reveal the finished product.
