Thanksgiving Salad: Tomato Baskets

Okay, so this recipe isn't about paint, but it's about color and it's fun to do with your kids. I'm posting it here for all Mom's who want their kids to help prepare the Thanksgiving feast. For step-by-step instructions, please read my full article.

Materials

	Tomatos
	A knife to cut them into edible baskets
	(In my article I create a more sophisticated Thanksgiving salad, with Mediterranean flavors).

Project Steps

	Cut the tomatoes tops in a way that creates a handle (full explanation in my article.)
	After all the tomatoes look like a baskets, stuff them with the salad, which can be made with the tomato fillings and sour cream mixed together, or with the more festive salad described in my article.
	Kids just love the way the baskets look, and there's no better symbol for Thanksgiving than a basket for harvest time.
