I saw these alphabet cards framed in a Land of Nod catalog. Since our little girl is named Violet, these were perfect. But I wasn't about to pay $20 per frame. So, I bought 4 frames for less than $5 each at Michaels and sprayed them white with Rust-Oleum Universal. The paint job only took a few minutes and I saved about $50.

Materials
Land of Nod "The Wall Flowers" alphabet cards
Inexpensive frames from Michaels -- they had a distressed finish
Rust-Oleum Universal Flat White spray paint
Old boxes cut up to cover the grass
Project Steps
Lay the old boxes over a grassy area in the back yard
Remove glass from frames
I laid the frames on old paint cans (quarts) so that I could easily spray the sides
Spray away. Be sure to shake the can well first and spray in light even coats. It's better to have a few light coats than one heavy coat.
Let dry.
Hang on your wall.
