Old boxes

Clean the old planters. (I was tempted to spray over the cobwebs ... but I just spayed them with the hose.)

Lay out some old boxes or tarp to protect your lawn from overspray.

I turned the planters upside down -- actually had them sitting on top of another planter so that they didn't touch the ground. I sprayed 3 light coats this way.

Flip the planters and spray 3 more light coats. I painted the top third of the inside too.

Let dry & plant.
